Students rock out to economics

Dec. 11, 2013

UW-L students earned third place in a national Rock-O-Nomix competition after creating a parody music video based on what they learned this semester in their Principles of Economics class.

Students in Principles of Economics classes nationwide competed with video parodies of popular songs with the lyrics rewritten to reflect concepts learned in the class. UW-L Assistant Professor of Economics Adam Hoffer and other faculty around the country narrowed down all video submissions to the final four videos.

Worth Publishers sponsored the contest and students will be awarded an iTunes gift card and a subscription to The Economist.
